Last Tuesday the 8th of July, was the first round of the Ladies Club Pairs, with the following results. Dawn Dye and Sharon Bohanna had a good win over Sonia Morgan and Sharen Hubber 23/11, Kerrin Fisher and Leila Burns had an equally good win over Eileen Brown and Jo Davies 24/10, whilst Mim Schroder and Maureen Dart had a close victory over Bev Bundy and Jane Kiernicki 16/13.

This Tuesday 15th will be the semi-finals, with Dawn Dye and Sharon Bohanna to take on Kerrin Fisher and Leila Burns, whilst Mim Schroder and Maureen Dart will take on the rested pair of Robyn Nelligan and Marlene Nicholls. Thank you to our officials Myrna and June.

Saturday was the First Round in the Men’s Club Pairs with a good victory to Dave Hart and Mark Hubber over Jim McNaught and John Bischof 19/9, a close victory to Rob Oliver and Steve Treasure over Trevor Ellis and Rob Watterston 19/13, a very narrow win for Bruce Oliver and Greg Nicholls over Bob Morgan and Steve Sculthorpe 16/15 and an extra end victory for Kak Smith and Paul Druery over Wal and Shane Beasley 19/18.

Sunday was the quarterfinals, Kak Smith and Paul Druery had a good win over Graham Thompson and Dave Booth 22/9, Rob Oliver and Steve Treasure defeated Russ Simpson and Joe Burgin 25/17, Dave Hart and Mark Hubber beat Dave Bohanna and Mick Baldwin 26/7, whilst John Pickard and Shane Lauritzen had a close victory over Bruce Oliver and Greg Nicholls 18/12. Upcoming Matches and Events.

Gooloogong Bowls Day of fun at 10.30am this Sunday 20th July. Our Cowra Sunday morning mixed social bowls will be cancelled for this week only.

Cowra will host a section of the Mid-West Men’s Fours on Saturday and Sunday 26th and 27th July.

Men’s Graded Singles commence Saturday 2nd August, and the Ladies Club Triples commence Tuesday 5th August.
