Police have two people in custody after an allegedly stolen vehicle was involved in a police pursuit along the Newell Highway and eventually crashed into a tree by Lake Forbes.
Officers chased down two males on foot as they allegedly attempted to flee the scene.
Police were alerted to the manner of driving by a member of the community, Chief Inspector Scott Rayner, now of Forbes Police said.
