Harden Hawks and Hawkettes soar into grand finals

The Harden Hawks have secured their place in the 2025 Blumers Lawyers George Tooke Shield Grand Final after a thrilling 38-28 victory over the Boorowa Rovers at Boorowa Showground on Saturday.

In a high-intensity clash, the Hawks outscored the Rovers seven tries to five, showing their attacking power and composure under pressure.

Jayden Cutting crossed twice for Harden, while Drew Arabin, Jack Nicolls, Christopher Campbell and Steven Anderson also added tries.

Nicolls finished with a double to cap off a standout performance.

Thomas McIllhatton was perfect with the boot, converting all four conversions and adding a vital penalty goal to help keep Harden ahead.

The Rovers put up a strong fight, with tries to Joe Prosper, Matthew Canellis, Charlie Fogg and a double to Austin Power.

Cooper Cross added two conversions and a penalty goal, while Tristan Mears slotted one conversion.

The preliminary final win sees the Hawks progress to the grand final, where they will face the Bungendore Tigers at Mick Sherd Oval on Saturday, September 20, with kick-off at 3:00 pm.

Adding to the occasion, the Harden Hawkettes will also feature on grand final day after an outstanding season.

They will take on the Crookwell Green Devils in the League Tag grand final at 1:00 pm.
