The school has an active Student Representative Council (with representatives for Year 1 to Year 6 classes) and Junior Aboriginal Education Consultative Group.

Parkes East Public School students are supported by an incredible Parents and Citizens Association who work tirelessly to continually improve the amenities and resources of the school.
Children enjoy learning, growing and playing in the spacious well maintained school environment with a large sporting field, two all weather basketball/netball courts, covered outdoor learning areas and colourful synthetic grass areas on most of the concrete surfaces.
Students enjoy regular access to technology as the school has video conferencing facilities, a computer lab, interactive screens in every classroom as well as access to laptops and iPads.
The students are fully supported in their learning journey by highly talented, committed and professional staff who work tirelessly as a team on behalf of the children and their families at Parkes East Public School.
