Saturday 21st June was Winter Solstice - the shortest day of the year - and you know what that means? Our amazing and slightly crazy Cowra Public School teachers headed down to the low-level bridge on Friday afternoon to take their annual dip in the Lachlan River! This is the third year we have celebrated winter solstice and this year we had a record number of staff take the plunge! Congratulations to Miss Wightman, Miss Boswell, Mrs Cole, Mr Sproule, Miss Duncan, Mr Cooper, Mrs Dunlop, Mrs Montgomery, Mrs Southwell, Mrs Tree, Miss Hayden, Mr Sherman, Miss Grinyer, Miss Said, Ellsie Oborn, Milton Cole and Rob from Gingerbird, who braved the icy waters! A huge thank you to all the staff, students and family members who came along to encourage our crazy dippers and a special shout out to Miss Wightman for starting this awesome CPS tradition! See you again next year!
