This week was an 18 hole stableford event.
Our thanks to Brett and Cathy for their ongoing sponsorship of the Summer Competition and the Parkes Golf Club.
The day started off with some ominous clouds building and the course had suffered some tree limb damage and patches of very wet grass from the two previous days of torrential rain.
But the rain held off and all got to complete their rounds, albeit with the course playing a little longer than the normal summer run.
The winner on the day was Peter Picker with a good total of 40 points.
It's been a while since Peter picked up the winner's prize and it took a good 85 off the stick and playing 4 under his handicap to do so.
The runner-up was one of his playing partners, but not one of the old gnarly ones but young gun Simon Hogan who came in with a score of 39.

Simon was shooting a solid 3 under his handicap.
Dan Ryan shot a credible 38 and there were a host of players on 37.
Only three of the A-graders could better the 80 mark this week showing it wasn't an easy course.
Rob Hey, Luke Clarke and Warwick Wright were the A-grade sharp shooters for this week.
