Great news - musters are back!

On Sunday November 21 at 1pm in the Starlight Lounge at the Parkes Services Club, we will be able to hold our November muster after a long break due to COVID restrictions.

Stephen R. Cheney will be the featured artist.

It was with great elation that we were given the news we could resume monthly musters.

Stephen graciously accepted the offer to be our featured artist and that will certainly be a great start for us.

Members of the backing band, and Joy, who looks after the sound, are all eager to get going and our muso neighbours from Forbes and Dubbo can't wait.

Our audience will of course need to follow COVID-safe procedures and wear masks, but dust off those dancing shoes as dancing is allowed!

Unfortunately we won't be able to sing along with performers, but that's a small sacrifice to pay to have our musters back.

Remember you must have proof of double vaccination to enter the club.

We have also claimed the date for our Christmas Charity Muster, which will be held on Sunday, December 19 at 1pm.

All proceeds will go to CanAssist, a charity close to our hearts as so many of our members, friends and relations have been affected by cancer.

CanAssist has always been there for us so it's our way of giving back to a well deserved local community group who help so many.

We may even have a visit from someone special and his helpers!

I'm sure everyone will be eager to join in the Christmas spirit and come attired in their festive best and help out with our fundraising efforts for CanAssist.

Make sure you put these dates in your calendar and we look forward to seeing you all on Sunday afternoon.

All welcome, and those wishing to perform should pop their name down with the music coordinators on arrival, prior to starting time.

So slip on your dancing shoes and prepare your ears for a treat - musters are back!
