The 4-person Ambrose event was previously held on a Sunday, but switched to Saturday this year and it proved a rousing success.
Our thanks to the Prostate team for bringing this health data to prominence among community and the golfing fraternity.
We had 118 players out in a not so friendly day, but plenty of blue colours were out on display supporting the cause.
The format allowed for anyone to play on the day, so there was some differing styles and ability on display.
With the relaxed format there certainly was some hot scores reached, with none better than Aaron and Garry Wilkie, Anthony Lock and Mick Kable coming in with a 56.
This was one of the lowest totals seen for a long time and it must have been the guiding hand of Garry leading the big hitting young bucks.
Next in were two teams tied on 57.25: these being the Edwards - Alec, Ryan, Warren and Mitchell plus the team of Peter Amor, Andrew Bourke, Blake and Myles Smith.
This was also a very good score particularly in the windy conditions.
At the other end of the scale was the Bradman's score winners of Colleen Staples, Patsie Christie, Jill Crisp and Helen Clark, who no doubt still enjoyed the day.

So that meant that Jack Creith at 190cm won the lucrative 6th hole this week.
On Sunday the time honoured and traditional Mixed Foursomes competition was undertaken with Club Captain Denis Howard generously sponsoring - our thanks to the Captain.
The foursomes events require a degree of patience and understanding as each player of the pair takes alternate shots and the mixed event is even a little more precious as men and women have differing hitting distances and ideas on playing shots which are not always what you are used to playing.
None the less it is an enjoyable game and still very competitive.
Unlike Saturday, Sunday turned out to be perfect for golf both serious or not.
The event, as it is a championship event, is played over 27 holes and off the longest markers so does require a period of extended concentration.
There were 14 teams contesting with the early morning hit-off.
In the B-grade, Wayne (Pup) Parker and Cath Kelly on a solid 139 were the winners, with a good margin of five strokes back to runners up: Rob and Col Staples.
In the Handicap event in B-grade, Brendon Simpson and Sue Holman came in first with 110.
In A-grade, the pairing of Peter Bristol and Anita Medcalf with 131 came out in front - although there were a bunch of teams finishing within five strokes of the winners.
This was a defence of their 2020 title, and thankfully not too much mention of the dreaded 11 on their last hole in 2020.
Runners up were the new pairing of David Stevenson and Dale Matthews with 134 - who were in hot pursuit all day.
The A-grade handicap went to Nym Dziuba and Kath Jeffress with 112.
They were having their first outing as a team and no doubt already in practice for 2021 chasing the scratch title.
