Western NSW Local Health District chief executive Scott McLachlan told media this week he hasn't received details regarding relocation of antenatal and postnatal maternity services from the Parkes Hospital.

When asked at a daily press conference on Wednesday who would be paying for the move to a Parkes Shire Council owned site in the town Mr McLachlan said he wasn't aware of "any details on a location in Parkes".
"I know that the ante and postnatal services are just crucial to our pregnant mums and families to have that support, the diagnosis and planning around birth," Mr McLachlan said.

"Those are crucial things that we will be maintaining.
"I know there has been consideration around where that will happen in Parkes but I don't have any detail on it," Mr McLachlan said.
