Eight of the nine clubs are mathematically still in with a chance to book themselves a finals positions.

Have a look at how high or low your team can finish in the regular season.

After starting the season with a five-game winless run, Barnstoneworth United has won five of last seven games to be sitting in a finals position in fourth.

Due to the strength of the WPL's top three teams, the best Barnies can hope for is a third place finish and they must win all four of their last games and hope third place Bulls lose their remaining four matches. It's a tough ask, but crazy things have happened in football.

Dubbo Bulls have all but booked a top three spot, having dominated the competition this season alongside Orana Spurs and Orange Waratahs but they could still fall to fourth.

The minor premiership is still up for grabs, however, but a lose to Orana Spurs on Saturday was a serious blow to the club's hope.

A clash with current leaders Waratahs in the penultimate round of the competition will be crucial in deciding this year's minor premiers.

"So you're telling me there's a chance?"

Yes, really. Having occupied last or second last at the conclusion of each round this season, Lithgow Workmen's can seriously finish in the top five but it's not going to be easy.

Workies will have to beat Barnies, the high-flying Spurs, Macquarie United and Parkes Cobras, as well as hoping results go their way.

Macquarie United has been hovering around the fifth position mark all season and it seems unlikely that it'll lose that spot in the run home to the finals.

Yet Macquarie could go one better and finish fourth but could still finish as low as ninth. But they'll need results to go their way if either of those situations are to happen, being four points of fourth placed Barnies and nine points ahead of Workies in last.

Unfortunately for the Mudgee Wolves, it is the only club in WPL this season that is already mathematically ruled out of the finals.

A solid 6-0 win on Saturday against Workies, the club's first away win in the competition this season, was enough for the Wolves to move off the bottom of the ladder however.

The best Wolves can hope for is a sixth place finish, if the Mudgee-based team wins all its remaining games and results go its way.

From battlers to top dogs, Orana Spurs resurgence this season has been a delight to see, exactly 20 years on from its one and only WPL title.

Spurs, who just avoided the wooden spoon last season, burst out of the blocks at the start of the season, winning their first three games, one more than they won in the entire season last year.

With inspirational wins against Orange Waratahs and Dubbo Bulls in consecutive weeks, Spurs are finishing the season with a wet sail and being one point off Waratahs, the minor premiership is still up for grabs.

The lowest they can finish is third.

The four-time WPL champions have made a fantastic return to the competition and have been the pacesetters for a majority of the season.

Waratahs lead the competition by just one point over Orana Spurs and the run home to the finals is expected to be full of twists and turns, with the Orange club's clash with Dubbo Bulls in the penultimate round of the competition to play a big role in deciding the minor premiership.

The lowest Waratahs can fall is third.

A squad that showed so much promise in pre-season has failed to deliver this year so far, but it's not all doom and gloom for the Panorama just yet.

While the Goats might occupy seventh place on the ladder, a strong run home and some results going their way could see the only Bathurst team in WPL finish as high as fourth.

But if the complete opposite happens, they could finish in last, but it seems extremely unlikely.

While Parkes finished last season in last place, they were never disgraced in the Cobras' inaugural season.

Now in 2021, Parkes has been battling for a top five spot all season and it currently occupies sixth on the ladder, but a high of fourth is still in reach.
