A WATERLOGGED Bathurst track has meant today's race meeting has been moved to Cowra, and Parkes trainer Sharon Jeffries was pretty happy about the move when asked on Monday about the chances of her runners.

"Risk and Reward is very suited to the change of venue to Cowra and the distance, which is shortened from what we entered in," she said.
The six-year-old is fresh off a very impressive last-start win in Warren on July 6, when veteran hoop Nick Heywood guided him to victory with a flawless front-running ride.
This race is over the same class (a benchmark 58) and essentially the same distance (1400m - 1375m), and despite drawing barrier 10 and the topweight of 62kg Risk and Reward will be a fantastic each-way wager.
In the same race will be Parkes Champion Post favourite Coulpa, who absolutely flew home down the outside in that Warren race after a spell - though Jeffries acknowledges once again that the distance is probably a bit too short for the big-hearted gelding.
"Too short for Coulpa, but there are no longer races around at the moment for him," Jeffries said.

Jeffries' daughter Tiffany Prout (who still rides under her maiden name, Jeffries) will be onboard Coulpa as she eases herself back into riding after the birth of her daughter Riley.
Prout hasn't skipped a beat and produced a pearler on the reins of Coulpa when he flew home at Warren - and you can't dismiss his each-way chances either in this class despite the distance concerns.
Miss Monte and new stable addition What An Effort round out the rest of the runners for Jeffries, though neither appear to be particularly likely chances; as she readily admitted.
"Miss Monte is not real comfortable on a wet track and against a couple ones will struggle," said Jeffries.
The plucky little mare was fifth last start on a Heavy 10 track at Dubbo, and despite a light weight and good barrier in this Class 1; she's a fair few handicap points away from this small field.
What An Effort, who is still a maiden, didn't show much in her first start for the stable on July 16 and punters should be looking to others in the 1375m Maiden.
Racing kicks off today at 1.15pm, with the first Jeffries runner appearing in the Cowra Breakout Rivers Meats Maiden at 2.25pm.
