NSW premier Gladys Berejiklian announced 105 locally acquired cases of COVID-19 and 27 of those cases were out in the community.
Ms Berejiklian thanked the NSW communities for working together during the lockdown.
"We know this Delta strain is so difficult to deal with. We want to thank all sections of the community for working with us," she said.
"We won't see the effects of restrictions for at least five or six days. Be more vigilant than ever before."

The Chief Medical Officer reminded people to be alert while they are out essential shopping.
"Every time you leave your house assume that you are coming in contact with COVID," Dr Kerry Chant said.
Dr Chant reminded people of the dangers of COVID-19.
"Can I dispel another myth? That COVID is a mild disease. We can't overemphasis that COVID can lead to illness and death. And it can cause death in young people. Just because you are well does not mean you can't infect someone else," she said.
