Sophie was born at Forbes Hospital at 10.06am on Friday, June 11, weighing 3920 grams (8lb 10oz) and measuring 48cm.
She is the first grandchild for Gillian and Anthony Speelman of Mount Warrigal, and another grandchild for Maree and Shaun Lawler of Forbes and Bill Little of Forbes.
Christine is currently on maternity leave from the Parkes Champion Post, and the new arrival is very exciting for all the staff, and our wonderful contributors.

Flynn Scott Mark Swindle
Rachel and Mathew Swindle of Parkes are celebrating the birth of their third son, Flynn Scott Mark Swindle.
Flynn will be a younger brother to Jacob (8) and Ryan (5). Flynn was born at Orange Hospital on Wednesday, May 12, weighing 2970 grams (6lb 9oz) and measuring 48cm.
He is the third grandson for Scott and Robyn Hennock, Mark and Sharon Ross and David and Karen Swindle.
He is also a great grandson for Rene and Merv Hennock, Bill Cox, Bernie and Katherine Wall and Fred and Hazel Bateson.
