It's part of the roll-out of real time tracking for local buses across Parkes and Forbes.
No more wondering if you've missed it if the bus has been delayed for some reason, Western Road Liners manager Chris McQuie says.
You just go online to a smartphone app, Mr McQuie is using AnyTrip but there are a number listed on the Transport for NSW website, or use the Transport for NSW Trip Planner tool at https://transportnsw.info/trip
"Just type in your service number and it will show you where your bus is," he says.
The tracking device has been installed on Western Road Liners' 22 vehicles, and the drivers are all on board with the process of logging on so the app can track their movements live.
There's another benefit to the app: you can also look at where the town run buses that run throughout the day are up to.
The town circuit buses are named S550, S551, S552, S553 and S554 so you can look them up in the app, check out the route and where they are up to.

Parents who have been picking their children up from the bus stop have probably noticed the new numbers on the bus, you can also go online to the Western Road Liners Facebook page for a full list of service numbers.
