SHE'S already got a letter from the Queen and Parkes woman Doris Littlewood is showing no signs of slowing down after she turned 104 on March 31.

Doris celebrated the occasion with family at Southern Cross Care in Parkes, and daughter Kerry Buerckner said it was the happiest she had seen her mother in a long time.
"The party just made her day, seeing all her grand children running around and playing with her, it was special - she had the biggest smile on her face," said Kerry.
Doris was raised in Parkes before marrying Rueben Littlewood and moving out to Mickibri in Alectown, where they had a mixed farming enterprise.

She raised six children at the farm before moving to Armstrong Street in Parkes in the mid 1970's - where she stayed living alone until just two weeks before her 101st birthday.
Kerry said Doris was an avid fruit and vegetable grower at Alectown before switching her focus to roses on her move into town - a skill she took to very well, winning an award at a flower show.
Doris is a little cheeky too; she didn't drive much during her life and when she failed a driving test in Parkes due to not nailing a hill start, she promptly booked a test at Peak Hill, where there is in fact no hills - and got her licence successfully!
And what does Kerry think is the secret to her mum's enduring health?
"Fresh air, hard work, no drinking and smoking and plenty of walking!"
