Thanks again to the Thompson's for their ongoing sponsorship of the PGC. Being a holiday long weekend this was a very good showing for the club.
The event was an 18 hole stableford and it was good to see a couple of players returning to some form, climb to the top of the leader board.
Aaron Huppatz fired a good 38 point round to claim the trophy ahead of runner-up Tony Hendry on 37 points who had to hold off Cameron Standen in a countback.
Both players have been out of the major prizes for some time but were able to fire consistently on the day to claim the Easter eggs. There were four players biting at their heels on 36 points so it was important to score well on both 9s.
Riall Harrison once again had a low 70s scratch score and playing partner Aaron Wilkie fired a 76 so the pennants form is still holding up. Also good to see Warwick Wright back in some form with a score in the 70s.
The Nearest The Pins this week were - Idlerite Tyrepower 1st won by Mick Smith at 248cm, the Griffins Leading Edge 4th by Brian Hogan Snr at 10cm, the Dirt Doctor Landscaping 6th by Aaron Huppatz at 475cm, the Parkes Readymixed Concrete 9th by Cameron Standen at 180cm, the Harvey Norman 11th by Rob Cheney at 46cm, the Westlime 15th by Riall Harrison at 222cm and the Central West Glass 18th by Cameron Standen at 140cm. So that meant that Aaron Huppatz won the lucrative 6th hole this week at 475cm, a good day all around.
