A group of Parkes women whose everyday lives revolve around helping people, will be going above and beyond their call of duty this weekend.

Six staff members from the Parkes Hospital will be giving up their locks or their hair colour to support the Leukaemia Foundation in the World's Greatest Shave.
The decision to take part in this year's nation-wide fundraiser came about when Parkes registered nurse Wendy Baigent decided she wanted to shave her head to help beat blood cancer.
Wendy lost her husband seven years ago to leukaemia.
It wasn't long until Helen Nash, Jenni McGee and Susan Cornish agreed to join her, with Sharon O'Brien and Tania Elsley offering to colour their hair for the cause.
"We all work at Parkes Hospital and have had someone affected by cancer," the women said.
"We would love some support from you all, as it is close to our hearts.
"It's a great cause."
The women have called themselves The Funky Crowd and have so far raised $1858.67.
Their goal is $5000.
The big shave and colour will take place at the Coachman Hotel this Saturday, April 10, at 6.30pm.
"Please sponsor us to give families facing blood cancer the emotional and practical support they need," the women said.
"You'll also fund vital research to help more people survive blood cancers, while improving their quality of life."
Every day another 47 Australians are diagnosed with a blood cancer. That's one Aussie every 31 minutes.
Although research is improving survival, sadly an Australian loses their life to blood cancer every two hours.
