This week 61 people ran, jogged and walked the course, 19 of them were first-timers and 19 recorded new personal bests. Plus representatives from three different clubs took part.
The event was made possible by 15 volunteers: Sonia Bland, Marlize Smit, Braam Smit, Dan Greef, Ronel van Wyk, Xander Greef, Jenny Short, Thomas Barker, Danielle Mill, Adriaan van Wyk, Peter Guppy, Craig Bland, Georgina Greenland, Danielle Lemon and Angelique Bland.
The male record is held by Keith Macpherson who recorded a time of 16:46 on February 13, 2021 (event number 2).
The female record is held by Jorja Davis who recorded a time of 22:39 on February 27, 2021 (event number 4).
The Age Grade course record is held by Keith Macpherson who recorded 77.04 per cent (16:46) on February 13, 2021 (event number 2).
Northparkes Oval parkrun started on February 6, 2021. Since then 191 participants have completed 420 parkruns, covering a total distance of 2100km, including 110 new personal bests.
A total of 33 individuals have volunteered 77 times.
VETERANS GOLF
After being rained out last week, the Lachlan Valley 18-holes veterans golf competition for March has been rescheduled for Parkes this Thursday.
Organisers made an early call to postpone the event last Thursday following overnight rain which affected many areas of the course.
Hit-off is at 10am with morning tea served prior to golf.
Players from Parkes, Forbes, West Wyalong, Cowra, Grenfell and Condobolin are expected to participate.
DARTS
Results from last week:
Top Flights defeated Lady Bugz 6-1 with players player going to Sue Christensen for Top Flights and Leah Roberts for Lady Bugz. High scores were Dave Rogan 140, 4x 100. Sue Christensen 123, 104. Mick Herft 2x 121, 3x 100. Keith Rogan 2x 100.
This Wednesday's draw:
- Strikers v Top Flights at Leagues Club.
- Twist Tops v Lady Bugz at Royal Hotel.
