Father Brian Schmalkuche has been serving the Trundle Anglican Parish for over nine years, and in his final year of Parish ministry he is once again walking for Christ, with a 137 kilometre journey across the Parish.

The Trundle Parish includes the communities of Bogan Gate, Trundle, Fifield, Tullamore and Albert, and Father Schmalkuche is grateful for their ongoing love and support and looking forward to once again walking for Christ.
"I have served the great people of this communities for over nine years, and these people have blessed me with their understanding, care and great love," says Father Schmalkuche.
"So my swan song will be to Walk 4 Christ across the Parish, this time from Albert to Bogan Gate via Fifield."
This will be the sixth time Father Schmalkuche has crossed the Parish by foot - and despite thinking we would not do so again he says white line fever has got the better of him and he is keen to go around again.
His mission is three-fold, and he is looking forward to spreading the love of Jesus Christ.
"Firstly, I will be praying for every property, business and family I pass.
"Secondly, I will pop a prayer in a mailbox wherever I can.
"Thirdly, I will be inviting anyone who wants to walk with me for a time or distance, giving me an opportunity to listen carefully to your stories and faithfully pray at length for those stories to have a very happy ending.
"I'm sure through this you can feel my excitement," Father Schmalkuche says.

Father Schmalkuche is also very excited about his rather famous and eye-catching walking attire.
"You will all remember so well the bright red t-shirts that I have worn on each walk, and also sold on the trek - I will be walking in these again.
"This time I will also have another t-shirt, that is sure to be a collectors item, which will display Walk 4 Christ 2021 on the front, with the Walk 4 Christ blue boots and road map of Albert to Bogan Gate on the back - and I can't wait to show them to you all!"
Father Schmalkuche is also the priest at the Condobolin Parish, and has been a self-funded priest for 11 years in total.
Before receiving his call to serve from God, he got a horticulturalist degree and was a long-time contributor to the Parkes Champion Post with his famous column - 'Brian's Gardening Bits.'
Many of his columns still take pride of place in many fridges around Parkes!
The walk will begin at 7.30am on April 19 at All Saints Anglican Church, Albert, and finish up at St Luke's Anglican Chuch in Bogan Gate in the mid afternoon of April 22.
