Our thanks to John and Fiona Lovett for putting up Saturday's prizes again this year.
We had a group of 16 golfers from Dubbo, headed by ex-local Steve Simpson, visiting while their course was closed, another good turnout of the 9 hole ladies golfers and the rest were locals out to win the trophy of the day thus giving a total of over 120 golfers, a record number for recent years.
In the team's event Neville Kennedy and Usman Cheema, out early in the morning, posted a great 83 points which couldn't be chased down over the day.
Both players scored well individually hence making the multiplier effective throughout the round.
In the individual stakes, Toby Tanks on 43 points beat home David Harwood on a countback.
It was pleasing to see David back into some form and the weekly pennants match play is bringing him back as the season progresses.
These two were closely followed by Ian Hendry on 42, a score he has not seen for a while, while Robert Cheney and Matthew Clark both fired impressive 41's.

Our number 1 Pennants team has played three games thus far - in the first round they encountered a hot Mudgee team and were defeated 4-1 with only Aaron Wilkie getting a win and on the 19th hole as well.
In the 2nd round they faced off with Bathurst at Bathurst - a hard task in itself. Once again, they were defeated 4-1 with only Riall Harrison coming up with a win again at the 19th.
The 2's went down 4 -1 to Mudgee in round one with only Anthony Riach scoring a win.
In their 2nd game vs Bathurst, again at Bathurst, they went down 4-1 with only John Green managing to get a win.
The 3's went down 3-2 to Mudgee with Rod Kiley winning on the 19th and Nimesh Piyatissa in his first outing for Parkes having a good win.
Against Bathurst the side again went down 3-2 with Nym Dziuba winning his match and Nimesh again getting the job done.
The 4's had a good 3-2 win against Mudgee in round one with Nathan Johnston in his first game winning on the 20th hole and Finne Latu and Brett Cowling winning their game.
In the second round the side went down 3-2 with both Ross Smith and David Harwood picking up wins.
This week the sponsors are the Parkes Ex-Services Social Club - regular sponsors and great supporters of the PGC.
The event is an 18 Hole two Person Multi Format Stableford Challenge.
The club is reminding members to renew their Memberships - otherwise your membership will lapse at the end of February.
