Parkes and District Country Music musters return from Covid-hiatus

Country music musters return after a year hiatus because of Covid

It is with much excitement that we can now advise our first function in almost a year, to be held this Sunday, February 21, at 1pm in the Starlight Lounge of the Parkes Services Club.

Our backing band and members from neighbouring towns are all keen to go so please spread the word to all that we are back in action, and we look forward to your company on the day. It would be good to see some new faces come along to enjoy the afternoon and all would be most welcome.

We must be well aware of and practice all COVID safety requirements on the day and should there be a good attendance and plenty of performers, no doubt we will soon get back into routine and have a great afternoon of country music and friendship.

For any inquiries please contact Lyn on 6862 1080, Margaret on 6862 1471 or Dale on 0458 192 970.

Our meeting dates for the year have also been finalised. Please become involved in our club, we have a very, very, tiny group of active members and are in need of more members to become involved to ensure the future of our association. More people are needed to help with set up and pulling down of music gear at our regular functions. Help is needed at our musters and it would be great to have more members attend meetings and add extra input to the association.

Meetings are at 7.30pm in the committee room, upstairs at the Parkes Services Club. The dates are:

  • March: Monday 1st
  • April : Monday 12th
  • May: Monday 3rd
  • June: Monday 7th
  • July: Monday 5th
  • August: Monday 2nd
