Club members hit Lake Endeavour on January 3, after that super cell storm event that caused flash flooding in Parkes.
"We were happy to get on calm water with more storm clouds overhead for our first paddle of the new year," the club posted to Facebook.
"Coach Beth [Thomas] made it a memorable one for us with drills on both sides with the 'beloved' crate, as well as continuous paddles for 3km and 2.5km to all add up to nearly 9km for the morning.
"Our two guest paddlers did very well to keep up."
There were two more paddles on January 7 and January 10.
January 7 saw 14 eager participants for Beth's Bei loon training session.
They completed 9.2km and even managed two races.
They were outnumbered by the men that night.
There were 10 paddlers for the January 10 session and they did excess of 9km.
There were 30 minutes of continuous paddling and a change of sides on the run.
