The Art Exhibition titled 'Revival,' showcased a wide variety of artists and artistic mediums from the Parkes Shire.
Scheduled to run until Australia Day 2021, it was the first exhibition to be held in the newly painted and carpeted Coventry Room, following the Library refurbishments in 2020.
Cultural Education and Library Services Manager Kerryn Jones, while disappointed to shut the exhibition, was proud of the way the community supported it.
"Whilst closing the exhibition early was a difficult decision to make, I want to thank all of the artists who contributed their work and the volunteers who helped to make it such a success while it was open," says Kerryn.
"During the two weeks the exhibition was open, it had been extremely successful, with over 400 people in attendance, and the sale of thirteen artworks.
"We look forward to continuing to provide similar events in future," Kerryn said.
Following Saturday's severe weather event, the Parkes Library and Cultural Centre including the CUC will remain closed until further notice to carry out the flood damage repairs.
