It's been a tough year for us all this year, including for the many community groups and organisations in Parkes who are so used to coming together regularly for meetings, social events and causes.
Like most, the Parkes RSL Ladies Auxiliary has been unable to get together often, where each month they would celebrate members' birthdays.
But with government restrictions easing, the ladies were able to meet before the year was out on Saturday for lunch at the Parkes Services Club.
They took the opportunity to celebrate all the birthdays they missed throughout the year because of Covid-19.
They also enjoyed a bit of a festive theme for the occasion.
The Ladies Auxiliary plan to meet again early in the new year.
