Both games were able to get on the park, with the Parkes Colts taking on the Parkes Raptors in a derby at Woodward Oval while the Cambridge Cats hosted the Cowra Valleys at Spicer Oval.
It was all about the Colts in their game against the Raptors, with Peter (81*) and Jock (46*) Yelland dispatching the ball to all parts of Woodward in the steady rain.
Despite losing opener Paul Dunford early on, both Yelland men played with obvious aggression, smoking 141 from just 25 overs before both sides shook hands and agreed to end in the game in what were increasingly dangerous conditions.
The Raptors bowlers looked like they were bowling with a cake of soap at most stages in some horrible conditions for bowling.
The other game managed to get in a bit more play across town, with the Valleys and Cats in the midst of a tight one until they were forced to finish as the rain took over.
Parkes junior cricket president Cameron Rosser (50*) combined well with Anthony Riach (69) as the Cats raced to a sensational 2/155 off just 16 overs but by that stage the conditions had become too unsafe.
Earlier, Valleys first drop Jake Miller (106) struck a well made century, guiding his side to a commanding 5/270 off their 40 overs.
This weekend's Lachlan Premier Cricket games will see the Cats take on the Raptors at Woodward Oval, while the Colts will travel to Cowra to take on the Bowling Club.
There are two rounds of matches left before the competition breaks for Christmas.
