Fallen trees
Some Parkes residents have been in clean-up mode this week after storms and strong winds on Monday and Tuesday brought down a number of trees and tree limbs.

A large tree blocked traffic in Albert Street on Monday afternoon and at 9.46am Wednesday, firefighters and Parkes Shire Council staff were called to Currajong Street.
A large tree limb had fallen onto a vehicle parked outside the Service NSW building, damaging its roof.
A Parkes Shire Council chainsaw crew, along with the assistance of firefighters removed the branch.
A spokesperson for Parkes Fire and Rescue NSW said these trees can be fateful if anyone was walking under it at the time.
Car fire
On a day declared a Total Fire Ban day, Parkes firefighters and officers from the Central West Police District were called to a car fire in Painter Street on Tuesday morning.
On arrival about 9.45am, crews found a vehicle completely burned out and still smouldering.
Firefighters in breathing apparatus extinguished the fire and surrounding grass.
"We would like to remind everyone to report all fires to Triple Zero (000) immediately," Parkes Fire and Rescue NSW posted on its Facebook page.
"It could save someone's house, property or life."
