The curse of 2020 has struck again, with the evolving COVID-19 situation forcing the cancellation of the 2021 Trundle ABBA Festival.

The 2020 edition of the festival, originally scheduled for May, was already cancelled due to the pandemic, and organisers announced on Facebook they made the tough decision to cancel 2021 as well.
"Honey, honey, its been So Long, but Knowing me, Knowing you, our loyal fans and festival attendees will understand The Name of the Game with this decision," the ABBA themed post said.
The decision has been made to not proceed with the 2021 festival.

"Following consideration of several factors, including the evolving COVID-19 situation, event restrictions, community sentiment and uncertainty that has made long-term planning difficult, the decision has been made to S.O.S. and not proceed with the 2021 Trundle ABBA Festival.
"The postponement will allow festival organisers additional time to prepare for and make the 2022 Trundle ABBA Festival an extravaganza befitting of one of the world's great pop supergroups.
"It also gives you plenty of time to squeeze back into your flares and finish applying your sequins to your 'fabbaulous' costumes."
The decision to cancel next year's event follows on from the cancellation of the 2021 Elvis Festival, with Parkes Shire Council noting community sentiment was strongly against holding it given the current environment.
