As the Spring Family Carnival organisers said it, Christmas has come early for Parkes!

This Friday, Saturday and Sunday, December 4-6, the carnival is coming to town.

While the Parkes Shire missed out on enjoying four shows and all its entertainment this year because of COVID-19, the Spring Family Carnival is giving local families a slice of what they've missed out on in 2020.

The event is taking place at the Parkes Showground and its bringing with it all the biggest and best rides, games, food, and showbags.

Organisers said there's fun for all ages and its free entry at the gate.

"From slipping and sliding down the super slide, pony rides, laughter of spinning around on the tea cups, to chaos on the dogem' cars to the scrams and shouts from the thrill rides, we've got your entertainment fix here," organisers posted on Facebook yesterday.

There is an ATM on site.

The event will run as 'Covid-safe' with a QR code upon entry or manual sign-in.

The times for each day include:

  • Friday, December 4, 4pm-8pm.
  • Saturday, December 5, 10am-8pm.
  • Sunday, December 6, 10am-4pm.
