A healthy smattering of people were on course at the Parkes Harness Racing Club on a balmy Sunday evening, with some huge margins leading to a profitable meeting for punters.

Five out of eight favourites saluted, and the skinny average winning price of $2.70 meant favourite backers left the meeting with plenty of cash in their pocket.
The first two races were the only close finishes of the day, with Kissntell and Im Major Harry saluting by just a half-head and head respectively.
The West Wyalong trained Kissntell ($3.20) jumped well in the Parkes Furniture One Pace and hung on to win over the fast finishing Motu Zest For Life ($5 place) in a blanket finish.
There were plenty of hard luck stories in the race, with the favourite Scaramucci having to come from four wide in the straight while Beautifulvengeance ($101) backers would have been praying to their chosen deities before finishing fourth in the photo.
Once again the gun draw was crucial as Im Major Harry ($3.50) led the whole way to win by a head over an impressive Pom Pay ($2.90 place) and favourite Joes Redemption ($1.35 place).
The Parkes Leagues Club Pace saw a stellar drive by Bathurst trainer-driver Matt Rue aboard Beast Mode ($2.80), with the gelding destroying the rest of field.
As the field slowed down mid race, Rue was able to pinch some cheap splits aboard Beast Mode, which allowed him to open up a huge lead at the 400 metre mark.
No one was going to catch him from there, with Gabbys Sportstar ($1.24 place) finishing a distant second while roughie Lucky Leigh ($7 place) held on for third.
From race four on, it was all about the short priced favourites, with all but the maiden event seeing winners at $1.75 or less.
Gotta Party Doll ($1.75) got the job done for Bathurst's Amanda Turnbull in the highest rated event for the day, with last start Blayney Cup winner Myra Dawn ($1.55 place) securing a sixth consecutive placing.
Cassius Deck ($1.75) worked forward from three wide in the middle to record a dominant win for Steve Turnbull, which was the second win in six career starts for the gelding.
Wendy Turnbull won the maiden event with Fast Eddy ($5.50), who won by a healthy margin despite recording some slow sectionals.
Cowra trainer Shannon Rye was unable to break Uroc N Warrior's ($2.10 place) maiden in start 26, though the gelding has now placed in each of his last two races.
Four For The Road ($1.55) blew his opposition out of the park in the Byrne Clothing Pace, with the Nigel Frisby-Olivia Frisby duo running away to win by a commanding 18 metres.
In his only runner for the day, Eugowra's Grant Jones had a cruisy victory with Awesome Ollie ($1.55) in the Medlyn's/Castrol Pace, with Alectown driver Nathan Townsend leading all the way after a fast start.
Harness racing in regional NSW this week will see meetings held in Leeton (Tuesday), Bathurst (Wednesday), Young (Friday) and Dubbo (Sunday).
The next meeting in Parkes will see more night racing on December 6 where the feature race will be a heat for the Dubbo Golden Gig, with a $9000 final to be held in Dubbo on December 18.
