Landcare are hosting a catch up with Gus and Vicky on Thursday, 19 November at 6.30pm in the Parkes Christian School Hall. Spaces are limited for this event, and attendees must register upon arrival (in line with current COVID Safe guidelines).
Many would know Gus from MMM radio and the ABC documentary series, Man Up, which was a journey into the world of masculinity discovering that the pressure to toughen up may be making Aussie men crack. Still available on ABC IView.
Landcare NSW and Rural Adversity Mental Health Program (RAMHP) are supporting the Gotcha4Life program to deliver their fabulous workshops in the Parkes and Forbes Shires for which funding is already available for delivery, so they are keen to meet with people while they are here to explain how Gotcha4Life commenced and how they program can be delivered.
Gotcha4Life is Australia's leading mental fitness charity, working to end suicide through delivering programs that build emotional muscle, resilience and social connection in individuals, families and local communities. They team with expert partners to deliver presentations, workshops and sustainable training programs that engage, educate and empower schools, sporting clubs, workplaces and community groups.
Gotcha4Life work on building social connection, emotional muscle and resilience. These are the some of the keys to having a fulfilling life...which is what we all want for ourselves, family and friends.
"You cannot listen to Gus and not come away with a sense of needing to look at things differently with regard to mental fitness", said Landcare Coordinator, Marg Applebee. "I have been fortunate to attend one of Gotcha4Life's Tomorrow Woman sessions which blew me away!"
