A small crowd was able to gather at the cenotaph in Cooke Park on Wednesday morning to honour the fallen, from not only World War I but from all wars, this Remembrance Day.

It's the first time a commemoration service of this kind has been able to be held in Parkes since the Covid-19 pandemic hit earlier in the year.
Holy Family Primary School choir sang and all schools in Parkes were represented at the service, with students citing the names of the fallen from the Parkes Shire.
The student who read the citations were:

Parkes East Public School - Brody Beuzeville and Grace Dunford.
Middleton Public School - Josie Jennings and Hayden Lamond.
