Golf
On a great day for golf, 108 enthusiastic players took to the Parkes course expecting to record low scores to match the conditions. The Telescope Tyre and Batteries Monthly Medal sponsored by Central West Glass was this month's major event and our thanks go to Mick Horan family and staff for their continued support of the Parkes golfers. This month's medal round also saw the prestigious Medal of Medallist titles played for in all categories. To win your category you had to have won a category previously this year and be the best finisher on the Saturday.

Alongside the PGC golfers were a contingent from Wentworth golf club enjoying the conditions and facilities - thanks for coming up boys.
In A-grade Brad Scott, who has not seen much of the course of late, won the scratch event on a countback from Phil Barnard who showed a return to form to record a solid 77 off the stick. There were only a handful of A-grade golfers who broke 80 this week as the course was stretched back to its blue markers.
In the nett event Phil Barnard was able to exact some revenge by recording a 68 to comfortably take out the prize. Wayne Parker won the Medal of Medallist's for 2020.
In B-grade Wayne Powter came to the fore in both scratch and net hitting a good 82 off the stick and winning the net on a countback from Wayne Tucker. Wayne's game is coming back rapidly as he overcomes a hip injury that has plagued him this year.
In C-grade Jack Matthews cleaned up both scratch and net with a great 85 off the stick to show a clean pair of heels to the field. His 65 net was a great score and easily picked up the award plus a reduction in handicap.
In the Griffins Leading Edge Putting competition Michael Dumesny only recorded 23 putts to take out the November event with Luke Clarke winning the Putters of Putters event.
In the Wally Norman Memorial Medal for Vets Peter Bristol was the winner with a 70 net on the day. He was also the yearly winner of the event.
