And didn't he just.
Trained by Parkes' Garry Abernethy, the $12-backed two-year-old black hound jumped well from box eight in the Ladbrokes Cash In Maiden (307 metres), but it was favourite Spike ($3.20) that got away to the best start from box three.
Lumeah George wasn't going to let Spike run away with it and persisted with the leader, before catching her in the turn, before getting ahead as they came into the home straight.
Lumeah George would go on to win one metre ahead of Spike, with Missing Link ($3.50) taking home the final placing in third.
Abernethy was pleased with the run from his two-year-old hound, saying he breed the dog himself.
"It's good, you never see a bad winner," he said.
Comparing Monday's run by Lumeah George to his run the previous week in his maiden start, it was completely different.
Starting from the number eight box, he didn't get a favourably jump and coming into the turn, the top four dogs got well ahead and the Forbes-trained hound fell way back in the pecking order and finished in seventh.
Abernethy said he's not sure of Lumeah George's next start, but it seems likely he could be back at Kennerson Park next week.
Abernethy had another starter at the meeting on Monday, with Lumeah Finn finishing third in the open race of the day.
