Yesterday saw a mix of HotShots, squads and private lessons in action with some little four-year-olds hitting the courts for the first time, to start their tennis journeys and they loved it.
'Squashing spiders', 'feeding crocodiles' and 'scrambling eggs' were just some of the fun activities they participated in as part of the games-based learning of HotShots.
The squads had their skipping ropes out and were clearly wondering why they hadn't kept their fitness up in the holidays to make yesterday's opening session a lot more manageable. Nevertheless they all worked hard and will feel the benefits mid-term.
Juniors will continue everyday after school with a variety of programs for four years to 17 years available. www.parkestennis.com.au for further information.
LADIES DOUBLES COMP
There was plenty of laughter, banter and a little huffing and puffing from some of the 24 ladies who took to the courts last night in round 1 of the social doubles comp.
There may well be a few aches and pains this morning as muscles that hadn't been used for some time got a bit more of a workout than expected.
NICHOLSON PETROLEUM/FYREX JUNIOR COMP
Term 4 junior comp starts today with singles and doubles in the yellow division, 45 minutes of singles in the green division and half hour of singles for the orange ballers.
All juniors will be working hard in their matches which are a crucial part of their development.
MIXED NIGHT COMP
Thirteen teams will take part in the mixed night comp tonight.
Everyone will have received their draws and as expected, all players will be enthusiastically looking forward to getting back on court. Please note there is a BYE so check your draws.
COURT HIRE
As we head into some beautiful spring weather it's the perfect time to get out and play some tennis with friends and family. You can book the courts any time from 7am-10pm seven days a week and enjoy a healthy lifestyle, www.parkestennis.com.au.
