Team Went came alive at this stage and scored a 4 on the 16th and a 5 on the 20th end to have the game in the balance with a lead of 1 shot. Unfortunately for team Johnson on the 25th end their last bowl went awry moving the jack to team Wents bowls giving them a 21 to 22 shot win.
On Sunday Tom and Daves' fortunes were reversed when they took to the green to play Peter McPhee and Mark Dwyer in a Major Pairs semi final. On the 10th end both teams were on 10 shots. Team Johnson scored a 5 on the 13th end to take the lead out to 5 shots but team Dwyer hit back with a 3 on the 18th. But in the end it was not enough and team Johnson ran out eventual winners 22 shots to a fast finishing team Dwyer score of 20 shots.
All players are reminded to please arrange your games ASAP as time is running out in this compacted season and there are many games and competitions to be completed.

WOMEN'S BOWLS
Twenty-six enthusiastic bowlers, one overworked umpire, and several interested onlookers & coaches set the scene for Tuesday bowls. The new step-over hand-holds were appreciated and well used. Thanks Ground Control! A reassuring addition for our safety, & a safe tie-up for Kim's bronco!
Liz ran us through a couple of rules/points of etiquette.
The semi-finals of the Club Fours were programmed. Kay Craft/Maureen Miller/Joan Simpson/Heather Harvey were steady out of the barrier, knowing there was a long match ahead. By the 6th end, they took the lead over Chris Curteis/Laurie Keane/Carol Reed/Helen Heraghty and went on to win, 25-15.
With a similar result, Di Howell/Merilyn Rodgers/Lea Orr/Maree Grant scored a victory, 26-15, over Betsy Johnstone/Brenda Davies/Rhona Went/Liz Byrne. With 5 ends to go, the score was 15-all, causing us all to take a deep breath.
