The college's award-winning cattle team had prepared 10 steers that would have travelled the show circuit from Forbes to Sydney Royal and Scone's Beef Bonanza.
Coordinator Susan Earl said it gave the team some purpose, but also gave the eight new members insight into what happens in the show ring.
The event included Junior Judging and Parading competitions in two classes of Novice and Experienced. This was then followed by the Steer Judging.
A 'Guess The Weight' of a beast also ran throughout the day.
It all wrapped up with Farmers Challenge contested by the 26 cattle team members, in teams.
Invitations were sent out to staff and students to visit the show when they could.
The College community stepped up to help with judging: Col Hawthorn and Year 12 cattle team member James Barnes oversaw the junior judging; Laura Tandy the parading competition and Billy Masonwells the judging of the steers.
Prizes for the different sections included specially printed satin ribbons, trophies and cattle canes in addition to gift vouchers purchased from local businesses.
"We concluded the day with many smiles and a feeling of completion and success - even when things aren't as we would like, you still can adapt and get some good from the bad," Mrs Earl said.
"I would like to thank the judges- Mr Hawthorn, James Barnes, Mrs Tandy and Bill Masonwells, Andrew Norton- Knight and Fred Brown, the Ref (for the delicious morning tea and lunch), the people who supported us in many ways from the school but, mostly I wish to say a massive thank you to my team members.
"It may not be as exciting or as challenging as showing outside in the big world but it still was rewarding and I so loved your faces of enjoyment all throughout the day."
