Some strong runs by Lebron and Beau helped straighten the team up. Bill and Oscar chased hard in the middle, and Saxon caused the opposition some problems with some good runs.
Beau crossed over for his usual 3 or more tries and had another good game. Jackson scored the try of the year, beating all the Nyngan players twice to cross over.
There was some improvement, but still lots to work on. A good effort again boys!
Under 8's
French Taste Bakery under 8's went on a road trip last weekend to play the Nyngan Tigers. They dug deep in defence protecting their try line for the whole match against the strong Tiger outfit.
In attack the young Spacemen again displayed some razzle dazzle footy, giving the large Nyngan crowd something to talk about.
Ned Hewes, Aisea Folau and Bradley Lewis once again inspired the team. Carter Moran, Jaxson Clarke and Braxton Mulligan were dangerous in attack and the ever reliable Harvey O'Keefe gave his all.
A huge thankyou to David O'Keefe for filling in as Coach for the match.
Under 10's
Andrew Thomas Bulding under 10's had a 32-10 loss on the weekend to Nyngan Tigers. Both tries for Parkes were scored by Tyler Butt with a successful conversion by Joel Whitney.
Under 12 Blues v Whites
Friday night footy was on the menu for the Central West Fluid Power Under 12 Blues and K&H Earthmoving Under 12 Whites and the game was a cracker, with the Blues winning 36-10.
It really was mate against mate and in one case, it was brother against brother! Joel Whitney from the Under 10's was determined to show his older brother on the Blues side who was boss.
A try to Oakley Fleinder and successful conversion by Linc James gave the Blues the perfect start. Taj Lovett from the Whites scored and converted his own try to even things up. Oakey scored his second try soon after.
A try scored by Rhys Thompson for the Whites just before half-time took the score to 10-12.
George Thomas was next to go over before Kailen Butt scored a fantastic try where she brought the crowd to their feet as she dived into the corner like a promising Talesha Quinn.
Shortly after Lachlan Thomas moved and weaved his way up the field to score for the Blues again, with a successful conversion by Ryan Cox taking the score to 28-10.
The Whites still hit the line as keen as the start, with big fellas Markus Tomlinson, Jamie Oraha and Mitch Davies all having an amazing game with their massive hit ups and plenty of metres gained.
Riley Cronin was everywhere and Kahn Jackson from the under 10's is showing the older kids what's what with his impressive hit ups and tackling.
Casey Eshman, Sean Goulthorpe, Caleb Rixon, Jayden Kuun and Jett Clarke all had a blinder with every pass and tackle an accurate one and as usual Tommy Cronin played his heart out.
Jaylin Moran and Caleb Gould piled on more tries with the score ending up 36-10 in favour of the Blues.
Tyson Carruthers from the Whites managed to get over the line in the late stages but was held up in goal, much to his and the Whites supporters disappointment!
The score line doesn't depict how the game was played between these two teams and it would be an exciting event if these two teams were to play again.
Under 14's
Sportspower under 14's travelled to Nyngan for a beautiful day of footy.
Good defence by Dean Robinson kept Nyngan on their toes but a Nyngan break down the sideline saw them score under the posts within five minutes.
The side continued to work hard in defence but unfortunately another break in the line saw Nyngan score. They maintained possession and were able to score again, taking their lead to 18-0. Parkes finally had the ball but after 3 sets on the line they still couldn't score.
The Nyngan defensive line was very strong and Parkes were a little off, fumbling balls and throwing silly passes. Nyngan continued to put the ball over the line and convert and with the score 32-nil and only eight minutes to go it looked like Parkes would walk away without any points this week.
The boys were determined to score and Paul Richter did exactly that, planting the ball in the corner. Joe Monk followed it up in the next set, scoring with only three mins to go. It was a hard felt 32-8 loss after a long drive but Nyngan just wanted that win more on their home ground and fought hard for it.
Senior League Tag White
Parkes Services Club and Hanson Plumbing SLT Whites went down against Saint John's 8-4 on the weekend. St John's are second on the ladder so it was a great effort to give them a run for their money.
It was a really close game with only one try in it. The Whites played really well in defense and the girls have all improved in all areas. The lone try was scored by Elizabeth Macgregor,
Senior League Tag Blues
Parkes Services Club and Hanson Plumbing SLT Blues lost to South Dubbo Raiders 22-6 on Saturday. The Parkes try was scored by Jorja Simpson with a successful conversion by Teagan Smede.
Under 16's
Brian Collins Smash Repairs and Agriwest Under 16's played under lights on Friday night at Pioneer Oval in front of a large crowd who sat in their cars as they cheered the boys on. They went up against Red Bend and won the game 22-12.
Joe Morrison had a great game, scoring two tries while it only took Dylan Wood two minutes of being on the field before he scored a try of his own. The boys had the lead as they went into half time 14-6.
In the second half Malakai Folau pushed his way through the defence to score in the corner before Toby Miller scored the last try of the night to cap off a great game.
Please arrive 40 minutes early this week for team photos.
