A LARGE shed has been destroyed by fire on the weekend with the incident prompting a multi-agency response.

At 2.55am on Saturday firefighters were called to reports of a building fire off Hideaway Lane south-west of Parkes.
"On arrival, crews were confronted with a large shed fully involved in fire," Parkes Fire and Rescue NSW crews said.
"Crews in breathing apparatus worked for hours to extinguish the fire."
Firefighters from Dubbo were also called to the scene to exchange 12 oxygen cylinders for crews to allow them to keep battling the blaze.

At this stage the cause of the fire is unknown.
