Firefighters were called to a Welcome Street business at 4.36pm on Monday following reports of an electrical fire.
"Upon arrival, crews found an industrial clothes dryer with its contents smouldering in a laundry room," Fire and Rescue NSW Parkes crews said.
"Crews in breathing apparatus extinguished the fire and rendered the area safe with assistance from our positive pressure ventilation fan.
"After completing a few atmospheric readings, crews returned to the station."
