FAMILY concern Tara Park Merino Stud is gearing up for its on-property ram sale at Boorowa.

The sale still be held on Monday, September 21, beginning at 1pm; inspections from 10am.

Tara Park is owned by Guy and Anna Evans and Rod and Adrienne Evans.

"The Evans family remain focused on maintaining heavy cutting fleeces on a large framed sheep with good conformation," Rod said.

"Tara Park teams did exceptionally well in the Boorowa Show Society flock ewe competition, securing three places in the top five.

"Undoubtedly, the highlight of the past 12 months for the stud was winning the South West Slopes Merino Ram of the year after three years runner up," Rod said.

"This is the third time Tara Park has taken out the award."

For the convenience and safety of Tara Park clients, the Evans will be holding an open day on Sunday, September 13 from 10am until 3pm. Clients and other interested people will be able to view the auction rams, at their leisure in an open environment.

The rams will be individually penned, this will avoid over crowding on the day of sale.

Tara Park was registered by Rod Evans in 1977 on Manderley Blood, with the introduction of Merryville blood in 1989.

Tara Park also sells at Dubbo, Bendigo, Hamilton and Canberra.
