Wow! What an impact the new sails make - the club and grounds look absolutely spectacular! Thank you to all volunteers who have done the hard yards.
If you haven't visited the club lately, come see, it's worth it! You also need to dine on one of Dev's mild curries on Friday nights - that's a treat to the taste buds.
Raffles and members' draw are in full swing on Friday nights as well. The draw is now over $2000.
Last Tuesday saw 16 ladies rugged up and bowling in a chilly cross wind which was blowing straight off the snow falling in Victoria.
Four games of pairs were organised. Kim Evans/Jan McPhee were too good for Maureen Miller/Joan Simpson. Heather Harvey/Carol Reed won a close match against Chris Cox/Margaret Hawken.
Kay Craft/Laurie Keane held the advantage over Fran Dixon/Frances Charlton. Lorraine Baker/Eileen Bradley led throughout their match against Lynn Ryan/Lea Orr, but let "Elle" slip past to win the game in the last few ends.
One match of the Club Championship Pairs has taken place. Heather Harvey & Maree Grant defeated Liz Byrne & Rhona Went in a close tussle.
