Parker compiled a handy 25 points for the 12 holes, but had to survive a count-back from Parkes super vet Billy Warren who also put in a solid round.
Thirty-four players faced the starter with Parkes turning the tables onForbes to take the weekly Mick Miller shield 141 points to 139.
Forbes dominated the nearest pins with Garry Pymont and Geoff Drane winning the A and B grade respectively on the 11th hole and Steve Uphill the A grade on the fourth.
John Pearce flew the flag for Parkes winning the B grade on the fourth hole.Parkes' Rick Glover won the day's encouragement award.
The ball sweep went down to 22 points and recipients included Laurie Wakefield and Gordon Christie (24), Rob Lea and Joe Davies (23) and Mick Bond (22) for Parkes, while Forbes winners were Alf Watts and Geoff Drane (24), Ted Morgan (23) and Garry Pymont and Brian Clarke (22).
This Thursday Parkes will host the monthly Lachlan Valley 18 hole competition.
Registrations will be from 9am for a 10am hit-off.
