Peter Wilcox from Forbes has recently joined the Central West Car Club with his 1958 FC Holden Special sedan and was happy for me to find out a little more about him and his car.

The FC Holden followed on from the earlier FE model and was produced by GMH in Australia from 1958 to 1960.
The sedans featured three trim levels (Standard, Business and Special) with Peter's being the higher spec Special in the earlier and less common full body colour.
Peter told me he bought his FC in 2007.
With a long career in the automotive industry, he's always had a passion for cars with a wide array of makes and models on his wish list, but an FC was his first ever registered car so that was the inspiration behind this one.
That first car was cheap and full of rust and burnt more oil than fuel.

"That first car was cheap and full of rust and burnt more oil than fuel so I searched for six months to find a good original one this time and I found this car ready to go in Melbourne," Peter said.
"It was in great original condition and I drove it all the way home."
Being a mechanic by trade Peter did all the usual servicing and necessary overhauls to keep the FC on the road as it was but in 2014 decided that it could do with a tidy up.
"I stripped it back and had it resprayed in the original Ascot Grey, but otherwise the rest of the car remains the way I bought it," he said.
The red vinyl interior complements the grey and there's plenty of Nasco accessories to present Peter's FC at a high level.
Peter is also a member of the FE-FC Car Club of NSW but after moving to Forbes five years ago he was looking for a local club to enjoy meeting more people and to partake in some car runs.
With over 300 members the CWCC is based in Parkes but has members from all over the Central West.
They meet regularly on the first Wednesday of the month at 7:30pm at Parkes Leagues Club for anybody interested or you can follow them on Facebook or on their website http://www.centralwestcarclub.com/.
As part of their regular events, the CWCC hosts a street meet at 6:30pm on the second Friday of each month at the outdoor Coles carpark in Parkes.
It's open to anybody so come along and join them.
Bring your own wheels or just check out some of the other cars on display.
