A MALE motorbike rider has been issued with a swag of infringements after he caught the attention of police in Parkes.

At 2.57pm on Sunday, officers from the Central West Highway Patrol stopped a motorcycle on the Newell Highway at Parkes due to its manner of driving.

"The rider, a 23-year-old male from Young, NSW produced an expired NSW class R learner licence," officers said.

"A check on the registration of the cycle revealed it to be expired.

"The rider was issued with infringements for a number of offences totalling $3561 and three demerit points."
