Veterans president, Michael Lynch said the decision to restart the competition was made following a committee meeting earlier this week.
However, Mr Lynch stressed that any vets members who have pre-existing medical conditions should not participate at this stage.
"The health and safety of our members is a priority," Mr Lynch said.
He also advised players to adhere to the social distancing rules, while adding that the one person per golf cart rule also applies.
Players wanting to hire carts should ring the Parkes Club to pre-book.
Next Thursday's competition will be a 1pm shotgun start, with players asked to assemble from 12.30pm.
