The aim of the scholarship program is to promote and encourage careers in the mining industry.
Congratulations to the three recipients Carleton Magill, Evie Martin and Isaac Westcott of Parkes.
SMMO Managing Director Mr Morimoto said, "SMMO recognises the importance of these scholarships, which demonstrate our ongoing commitment to the local community. Congratulations to Carleton, Evie and Isaac. We are extremely excited to be awarding these scholarships to such worthy applicants".
The scholarship is an investment above and beyond Northparkes' existing programs.

In 2019, the structure of the program was changed to support students entering or studying at university.
The need for this change was identified from feedback from school visits and students.
Each year scholarships of $3,000 will be awarded to students from the Central West who have been accepted to study or are studying at university.
Carleton is in his second year at the University of Newcastle studying a Bachelor of Education.
"After graduation, I hope to gain employment in a primary school setting. The financial support from Northparkes will assist with purchasing the many textbooks I will need throughout my degree. I am also really excited for the opportunity to complete work placement at Northparkes to gain some exposure to the mining exposure," Carleton said.
Evie is studying a Bachelor of Arts (Media and Communications) and Advanced Studies in Film at the University of Sydney.
"I started my degree this year - I have really enjoyed being able to illustrate rural and regional stories throughout my assignments so far. I am really looking forward to completing university and starting my career in media," Evie said.
Isaac is studying a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Environmental Science at Macquarie University.
"I actually completed work experience with the Exploration team at Northparkes in 2018 and 2019. It was fantastic - I am really looking forward to the next opportunity to undertake work placement at Northparkes. I would like to work in the environmental management space within the mining industry," Isaac said.
Carleton, Evie and Isaac will each receive a one-off payment of $3,000 to support them during their studies.
The SMMO Scholarship program is administered by Northparkes, with which SMMO is a joint venture partner.
