VERTO is a community owned, not-for-profit organisation delivering a range of apprenticeship, community support, employment and training services. They are now offering two new short courses online, Mental Health Awareness and Infection Control and Prevention, as well as providing many of its traditionally face-to-face courses online.

Chief Executive Officer, Ron Maxwell, says: "COVID-19 has changed so much of our lives in an incredibly short space of time. Many of us are now navigating working from home, while others are unfortunately facing reduced hours or being stood down from their current positions.

"These two new short courses can be completed from the comfort of your own home and aim to help people build skills that can help during this extremely challenging time.

"At VERTO, we've always offered numerous options for completing our training qualifications, but it's fair to say that online training has never been more important than it is now."

Mr Maxwell says to meet the ongoing and evolving needs of local communities, VERTO is continuing to add more courses to the organisation's online training options.

"Even before the current crisis took hold we were facing an ever-changing employment market. People in today's job market are changing roles, and even career paths, more than ever before.

"Disciplines such as business, leadership and management, as well as courses in specific skills or industries, such as warehousing, were previously available online. These will soon be joined by a suite of new online options, including Word and Excel training, Work Essentials, Job Interview Preparation, Managing Work and Personal Priorities, Managing your Finances and many more."
