The Forbes Crocs Running and Tri Club have announced that they have cancelled both of their events this year due to the large amounts of events scheduled around the same time.
Forbes Crocs Running and Triathlon Club's Ian Bown said one of the major factors they decided to cancel the Forbes Running Festival is because the Sydney City to Surf was rescheduled to take place the weekend after on on October 18.
The 2019 Forbes Running Festival's 21km half marathon was won by Forbes local John McLennan in the men's category Stephanie Torley in the women's category.
This year's Forbes Triathlon, which was to be held in December, was also called off because of the amount of other events planned to take place around the region.
Last year's Forbes Triathlon which was set to take place on November 3, 2019 was also cancelled due to a low amount of participants.
