Cancellation of Finals and ALL Junior Cricket: After much discussion the decision was made to follow the recommendations of Cricket Australia and Cricket NSW and cancel the remainder of the season. This decision was not made lightly and follows the expert advice from Cricket Australia's Chief Medical Officer Dr John Orchard. Below is advice sent out to ALL Clubs and Associations by Cricket NSW -
Cricket NSW, with support from the Sydney Cricket Association, NSW Districts Cricket Association and NSW Country Cricket Association; fully support CA's strong recommendation to immediately stop playing cricket at all levels for the remainder of the season based on medical advice.
Today, Cricket NSW CEO Lee Germon, SCA Chairman Graham Gorrie, DCA Chairman Morris Iemma and Country Cricket Chairman Paul Marjoribanks unanimously agreed to halt their competitions. They have also strongly agreed that all other associations and competitions across NSW should cancel their remaining matches. Mr Germon said the decision is in line with expert advice from Cricket Australia's Chief Medical Officer Dr John Orchard.
"The welfare of all our players, officials, volunteers and staff is paramount," Mr Germon said.
"It is important that we do everything we can to look after our broader cricket community and contribute to the global effort to slow, and eventually stop, the spread of Coronavirus."
Parkes District Junior Cricket Association along with Forbes Junior Cricket will advise of who the Premiership winning teams were in the coming days.

Life Membership of PDJCA for Kerry Spence: At the March Monthly Meeting of PDJCA on Monday, March 9 Mrs. Kerry Spence was awarded Life Membership of Parkes and District Junior Cricket Association in recognition of her tireless and efficient contributions as the IT Operator, Registrar, Publicity Officer, Records Officer and Scorer. Kerry Spence became the 13th Life Member of PDJCA and indeed the first lady to gain this honour.
The timing of Kerry's Life Membership coincided with the Australian Women's Cricket Team victory in the 2020 Women's 20/20 World Cup and with the very welcome news that Maddy Spence (Kerry's daughter) had been named in the NSW CHS Second 11 Girls Cricket team for 2020 to play in the All Schools High School Championships in Maitland. This is a huge honour for Maddy as she is only in year eight at Parkes High School when most of the team members are a good deal older.
