Jason Thomson owns this spectacular looking 1990 Honda VFR 750 FL.
"I bought it in 1991 from Frank Kinsela at Pat Kinsela Motorcycles here in Parkes," Jason said.
"He was the mechanic at the dealership and this was his own bike that he'd owned for 12 months since new."
Jason had not long got his licence and had taken his XR 600 dirt bike into Kinsela's for a service.
When he went to pick up his bike on a Friday it wasn't ready to go and Frank said to Jason "take the VFR home; and by the way, it's for sale".
"At the time I lived across the road from Frank and Norma and I'd often seen them on the VFR because it was such a stand-out bike," Jason said.
"So the chance to take it home for the weekend was too good to miss.
"I took Jody for a spin on it and I knew I wanted it so the very next day I found Frank at the chook raffles at the Star Hotel and the deal was done over a couple of beers."
Jason ended up trading in his dirt bike on the VFR and has had numerous off-road bikes since, but the VFR is his one and only road bike.
"It was the first of Honda's single swing arm bikes and it was quite an expensive bike at the time, but I absolutely love it," Jason said.

Ironically Jason rode quite a lot with Frank in those days and most of the local riders knew of 'Frank and the Hosey's' as they were known.
That was before his untimely passing and Jason admits to thinking about Frank every time he rides the VFR.
"I'm the first to admit that I get a bit teary thinking about him but I reckon he'd be proud of how well I've kept the bike," said Jason.
"I've had motorbikes since I was about 12 years old.
"They've mostly been dirt bikes but this one has a special place for me and I use it for weekend rides and trips away.
"I don't mind taking people out on it too and anybody who's ever gone pillion on it with me will certainly remember it!"
